Art Garden Cafe ~ One of a kind Cafe ~ Four Silver ’s by the Phantom Gourmet Ask anybody who has found this charming cafe and six-bedroom bohemian boutique hotel; a super Expat hang out, with off-the-charts praise by Trip Advisor world visitors. ‘Aesthetically different, worthy of multiple returns.’ Owner, James is the friendliest in the business with GM & Concierge, Uriel, at your service, “anything you need.”

After some great effort to establish that this place is NOT PERMANENTLY CLOSED, regardless of what it says on TripAdvisor and Google, it's very much open for business and we had a really nice breakfast. This little gem was worth the effort! Delightful new owner and staff, lovely venue, a nice warm room by the fire, big enough table for 7 women and a small dog. No alcohol but apparently the coffee was good because I saw several repeats. Apparently the previous owner had announced the restaurant was closed permanently and they haven't been able to get it changed. The new phrase I learned today in the taxi was 'Estoy perdido", "I'm lost" as I had no idea where this nice taxi driver was taking me. Turned out we were just off of Canal.

What an unforgettable breakfast experience! The cheesy breakfast burritos with mushrooms, bacon, and potatoes were a flavor masterpiece—savory, hearty, and perfectly balanced. My wife’s huevos rancheros were vibrant and delicious, bursting with authentic zest. The mocha coffees were rich and indulgent, and the Hugo Verde brought a refreshing, tangy flair. Every bite and sip was filling yet left us wanting to savor more. The restaurant’s vibe is pure enchantment—a charming French café fused with a lush, jungle-like setting. Think calming, artistic elegance surrounded by verdant greenery, creating an airy, outdoor oasis that feels both sophisticated and wild. It’s the perfect spot to linger and soak in the unique ambiance. We’re already excited to return! The owner also told us that coming next week the menu will be new and have different items.

Lovely cafe with an inside courtyard, good coffee and a full brunch/ lunch menu. Super friendly staff, too This is a lovely picturesque area of San Antonio - close to the bottom of Canal Street but feels like a world apart.

We feel lucky to have discovered the magical Art Garden Cafe in San Miguel de Allende. We stepped through the entrance and into a beautiful, quiet coutyard, decorated with original art and vibrant textiles. Breakfast, lunch, and brunch are served here, including oat or wheat pancakes, fruit, avocadoes on toast, egg dishes, coffee, tea, and more. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Food is fresh and delicious. We highly recommend this lovely cafe, just a few minutes outside of the center.
